One True God

There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent, one being in three persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; John 1:1).

God the Father

God the Father reveals Himself in Scripture as One who loves the world, sacrifices to redeem it, and longs to adopt all who will respond to His call as His sons and daughters. He gives His Spirit to complete this adoption, transferring His children from darkness to light, and works to restore His image in us, redeem all nations, and grow a united family that is called by His name.

 

Jesus Christ – God the Son

The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only eternal begotten Son of God (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9), was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s Kingdom on earth. He was crucified for the sins of all, died, descended into hell, rose to life again, and ascended into heaven. He is alive today at the right hand of God in heaven and in His people on earth through the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:9; 2 Corinthians 5:15; Hebrews 10:12). Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offers all eternal salvation.

The Scriptures declare:

1. His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35).

2. His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22).

3. His miracles (Acts 2:22; 10:38).

4. His substitutionary work on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

5. His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4).

6. His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9,11; 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3).

 

God the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells and empowers the Christian, enabling each Christ-follower to live a holy life and minister supernaturally. The Holy Spirit teaches each believer directly, comforts them, reveals Jesus to and through them, and works in the believer to conform them to the image of Christ.

All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. With it comes the power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their use in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31). This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth (Acts 8:12-17; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9). With the baptism in the Holy Spirit come such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit (John 7:37-39; Acts 4:8), a deepened reverence for God (Acts 2:43; Hebrews 12:28), an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work (Acts 2:42), and a more active love for Christ, for His Word, and for the lost (Mark 16:20).

Mankind

Mankind was created in the image of God (Gensis 1:26-27) for union and fellowship with Him and was granted authority to rule over and subdue the whole earth. Despite this relationship and commission, mankind willfully rejected the lordship and glory of God for which we were intended.  In Genisis 3:16-19 mankind handed authority over earth to Satan who became god of this world.  Sin, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world because of mankind’s rebellion and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of that choice.  Through the sinless life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the created order of authority over this world has been restored to the believer in Christ.

The Bible

The Bible, defined as the 66 books comprising the Old and New Testament, is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21). It is the filter through which we interpret anything God speaks to us directly through relationship and provides a foundation of truth and wisdom for all aspects of life and relationship with God.

Salvation

We are saved by grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ alone, and not by any of our own good works or deeds (Ephesians 2:8-9). God wants all people to be restored to fellowship with Him through repenting from sin and believing in and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We prove this faith and repentance through changes in how we live as this is the natural outcome of walking with Jesus.

 

Final Things

We are in a time where God promises to reveal His goodness to every nation both directly and through His body of believers. He desires that His kindness will lead all to repentance, but many will reject Him and rebel against Him. Each person has a choice – to choose existence with Him (which leads to heaven) or existence without Him (that leads to eternal separation from God). 

We believe the return of Jesus is imminent, and that we are living in the last days.  There will be a final judgment.  At that time, if your name is not found written in the Book of Life, then you, together with the devil and his angels, the beast, and the false prophet will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8).
